Role of health educators should be optimized again in giving an understanding on the mother in Indonesia, most of which admittedly is still poorly educated. In fact, mother's educational level greatly affects the quality of nutritional care of children, including provision of breast milk and infant feeding and child.

This is expressed by the Director General of Public Health (Binkesmas) dr Budihardja Ministry of Health in the National Seminar entitled The Problem of Malnutrition, Food Security in Government Policy and Public Health at Soegijapranata Catholic University, Semarang, Central Java, on Saturday (3 / 5).

Budihardja said, nearly 80 percent of people with malnutrition in rural areas, especially areas that have not been many affordable terepencil education. During development the government has not touched until the remote area, then malnutrition is feared will remain high.

Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Eleven March (UNS) Surakarta Prof. Dr. Totok Mardikanto said, there should be a revitalization of the extension to save food security in Indonesia. Each extension is also not closed to other fields of study. Health workers should also study the problem of food. Vice versa, obviously Totok.

According to Lecturer Masters in Health Law Program as Catholic Universit Soegijapranata, Endang Wahyati mentioned, high rates of malnutrition have been caused by government food security policies that are inconsistent. According to him, it is time the government set up the Food Act which specifically regulate the problem of providing food for the community.

The government must take responsibility entirely on the food supply. If not addressed specifically, only the sectoral food policy and ultimately will not solve the food crisis which affects the cases of malnutrition, said Endang.

Budihardja admit, there has been some obstacles in penanggulan malnutrition in Indonesia. The first constraint that is differing perceptions about the poor nutrition that causes differences in response to each case. In addition, cross-sector coordination between the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and other government agencies is still weak.

"Until now, there is not consistency and sustainability in each of the handling of cases of malnutrition," he admitted.
